Jason Bush

Jason Bush (bush.207@osu.edu) is a Ph.D Candidate in Theatre Studies at The Ohio State University. He is also pursuing a graduate minor in Folklore Studies at OSU. His research interests include: ethnography/historiography and performance, the commodification of cultural heritage, and the entanglement of emergent forms of citizenship and the reaffirmation of formerly marginalized ethnic identities with the expansion of late capitalism and neoliberalism. Jason’s dissertation examines the staging of Peruvian indigenous dance as globalized commodity and spectacle. His articles have been published in Suzan-Lori Parks: A Casebook, and the Journal of American Drama and Theatre. Jason served on the programming committee for the 2008 ASTR conference in Boston.
