I worked with the developers on this project to design both the user-facing HTML application, and an internal Flex application interface. The client had an outdated logo (which was not part of the project) and existing brand, so it was a challenge to incorporate their colors and branding into an interface that would work across their website, external application, and internal application and be something that users could look at day after day. I incorporated their brand colors as accents while keeping interface elements to a more neutral palette, and reinterpreted their logo to create a theme for the interface. The result was well received.

I worked with a team of developers on this project, initially just designing the UI and a Flex prototype. However the client was so happy with the work up to that point that they requested that I continue to be involved in the project as a front-end developer, so I also implemented a good portion of the front end using Flex 3 with extensive custom skins (scripted, graphical and animated). The application was designed to function within the "frame" of a larger existing application, so while the application itself was built with Flex, the header and left navigation remained HTML. The project was a "test case" for bringing Flex into the organization, and with the positive acceptance of the application by its users, the outcome was success.
