John Edward Martin

Ph.D., English (Early American Literature), Northwestern University

A life-long reader, educator, writer, and scholar, I've taught literature and writing at the university level for almost 15 years, mentored students at every level, and published scholarly articles on Edgar Allan Poe, H. P. Lovecraft, 19th century women's writing, and literary pedagogy. I'm also an active writer of poetry and short fiction. I'm currently exploring new career opportunities and creative projects, to which I bring a diversity of experience and skills, and an adventurous spirit.
