Peace of Mind
Interfolio maintains the confidentiality of all closed letters of evaluation stored with us. We follow strict technical and procedural guidelines for receiving and mailing all letters to ensure that confidential documents stay that way. Confidential letters are received directly from the writer via mail, fax or electronic upload. Transcripts are copies of official transcripts delivered directly to Interfolio from the institution - the candidate has never handled the copy you receive. We conduct periodic audits of writers who submit recommendations to verify their identity. Before a writer can submit a document electronically, they must establish an account with us providing detailed information about themselves, including the selection of a secure username and password. This username and password is required to upload any recommendation and constitutes their digital signature, as described in the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act of 2000.
Paper or Electronic Delivery Options
While we know that technology can make the application process easier, we also understand that not everyone feels comfortable with it and some aren't capable of using it. To make our services available to as wide a range of people as possible, we provide also provide traditional paper delivery methods. Just let us know if you you'd like to receive documents via mail or fax instead.
