Note: If you already have a My Credentials Vault account, please log in using your existing username and password.

BEFORE creating your account:

  • Make sure to register with the same email address used for your graduate application at Binghamton University. Failing to do so can cause problems with your documents being received.
  • Complete and submit your online application to the Graduate School at Binghamton University. Delivery of any supporting materials will not be successful until you have completed your application and received your B-Number.

STEP 2:  Collect and Upload Required Application Materials via Account

Required materials for ALL applicants:

  • Undergraduate and Graduate Degree Official Transcripts (English only)
  • Two Letters of Recommendation (some programs require three)
  • Personal Statement
  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Teaching Certification (School of Education applicants only)
  • Licensure (School of Nursing applicants only)

Departmental Requirements: These materials may be requested by a particular program and submitted either as additional credentials via the My Credentials Vault Service or directly to the school/department.

Required for ALL INTERNATIONAL applicants:

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL: Submitting all required application materials will assure thorough and timely review of your graduate admission application. Unofficial transcripts and test scores or missing financial documents will delay reviews and official admission decisions. Official, final transcripts are required upon admission. Missing, incomplete, outdated or incorrect financials will delay or prevent issuance of an I-20 document if accepted and enrolling as an international student.

STEP 3: Electronically Submit All Required Application Materials

Binghamton University ONLY accepts electronic submissions of required materials via My Credentials Vault to assure receipt and timely processing of your official documents. The Graduate School will not accept any submissions of paper/hard copy materials, even those required by an academic department/program at Binghamton.

Log in to your My Credentials Vault account and submit all required application materials in one complete delivery. The submission fee is $6 and can be paid via credit card or PayPal.

To submit your application materials:

  1. Search “Binghamton” and click “Find” in Step 1 of the Add Delivery process.
  2. Select the entry for “All Graduate Departments.” Note: Do not manually enter an address.
  3. Include all required documents (carefully review STEP 2 above)
  4. Click “Check Out” to submit electronically

STEP 4: Submit Required Official Test Scores

Binghamton University requires all official test scores to be submitted electronically by testing agencies.

Minimum score requirements and required test scores by Binghamton are detailed here.

ALL applicants:

Official GRE Test Scores via ETS or/and Official GMAT Test Scores

ALL INTERNATIONAL applicants:

Official TOEFL Test Scores via ETS

* Binghamton University’s ETS code is: R2535

STEP 5: Check Status of Submitted Application Materials

Use Binghamton University’s online status checker to review receipt of required application materials and admission decision.

Please note:

  • Receipt and processing of your electronic materials takes 1 to 3 business days. During peak time frames, it may require a few additional days.
  • Refer to your delivery receipt from My Credentials Vault for complete details of materials submitted and received by Binghamton. The online status checker may not reflect each individual document -- recommendation letter, personal statement, and/or resume or CV.
  • Applicant admissions files are typically updated once a week with new electronic test score submissions. During peak times, test scores may be updated more often.
  • Missing, or incomplete, required application materials, test scores and payment of Binghamton University’s application fee will delay review of application.

If you receive notification that your submission was not successfully received at Binghamton University, be sure to review STEP 1 above and verify essential application and submission information. There is no additional fee for resubmission; be sure to regularly check the email address used on your application and My Credentials Vault account to assure receipt is successful.
