Top-ranked institution announces new partnership with faculty information system Interfolio

Oxford, UK  — February 11, 2021 — Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, ranked first in the Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings, today announced its partnership with Interfolio, creator of the Faculty Information System. The adoption of Interfolio’s Review, Promotion & Tenure module will give faculty and administrators access to a single digital platform for facilitating annual reviews.

With this new technology, Saïd Business School administrators and faculty can prepare and share candidate materials and solicit letters of recommendation, including those from external reviewers. This digitally streamlined approach decreases administrative work and increases faculty time for teaching, student mentoring, and research.

“At Saïd, we have a continuous improvement mentality,” stated Anne-Marie McBrien, Director of Faculty Services at Saïd Business School. “Combined with the impact of COVID and staff vacancies, the need to be administratively efficient has never been higher.”

Interfolio’s platform will improve the experience for faculty and administrators as they will have continuous role-protected digital access to their data and documents. Additionally, faculty accomplishments will live in perpetuity in their Dossier, which will be reusable and portable.

“Our faculty are highly influential world leaders in their field. Their research and intellectual property is their personal brand, and we need the review of this work to be confidential, secure and modern,” stated Mark Bramwell, Chief Information Officer at Saïd Business School. “We needed a best in class solution to add to our IT portfolio that was robust, scalable and secure. That solution was Interfolio.”

With Interfolio, confidentiality and data security is maintained throughout the review process, mitigating risks of data leakage and breach, whilst adhering to GDPR and supporting the School’s Cyber Essentials Certification.

“We know that top leaders in academia and their institutions require the most effective technology that supports their distinguished scholars researchers,” commented CEO of Interfolio, Andrew Rosen. “Saïd Business School is an innovative institution, and we are excited to partner with them to streamline the academic’s experience and support their goal of prioritizing teaching and world class research.”
