Interfolio Dossier is a secure online platform for collecting, storing, and managing confidential letters of recommendation and application materials. It helps applicants organize documents and submit them for academic, medical, and professional opportunities.
Interfolio Dossier is used to:

Yes. Interfolio Dossier is fully confidential and designed for sensitive academic and professional materials. Documents are securely stored and never expire.
Yes. You can request and store a general (non-position-specific) letter of recommendation for free. These letters can be reused later for multiple applications.
You can request letters from mentors, peers, or supervisors by:
- Sending requests individually or in bulk
- Attaching supporting documents
- Sharing links and multimedia materials
- Tracking letter status in one place
Letter writers receive an email request and can upload letters electronically or send them by mail. Uploading a letter does not require a paid account.
The due date is a reminder for letter writers, not a submission cutoff. Letters can still be uploaded after the due date.
You can delete documents that have never been sent. Documents included in a delivery cannot be deleted but can be archived to keep your account organized.
Yes. Interfolio Dossier Deliver is a preferred service of AMCAS. Letters are sent to AMCAS, which distributes them to participating medical schools.
Most U.S. medical schools accept letters through AMCAS, which supports Interfolio Dossier Deliver.
No. Interfolio Dossier does not send letters of recommendation to CASPA.
TMDSAS: Letters can be submitted via Interfolio, direct upload, or mail
AACOMAS: Letters may be submitted through AACOMAS or approved alternative services, including Interfolio
Dossier (Free): Request and store letters, organize materials, and apply to Interfolio-hosted positions
Dossier Deliver ($59.99/year): Includes up to 50 electronic or mail deliveries plus delivery support
For Dossier Deliver users, letters are quality-checked within four business days. Letters can still be used while pending review.
