Interfolio
Virtual Summit

Celebrating Faculty Impact

Provosts, deans, and faculty affairs leaders are coming together this June to discuss the current state of higher education and the pivotal role of the Faculty Information System for the academy going forward.

In sessions throughout this free 2-day event, we’ll hear all about celebrating faculty impact—and how the unique Interfolio platform is facilitating that impact at universities of all kinds.

What is the Interfolio Virtual Summit?

Experts on faculty careers will join academic and technology leaders from Interfolio partner universities to discuss pressing issues facing the faculty affairs profession and the most successful ways to manage them, including critical ways the Interfolio platform is helping.

In addition, the Interfolio Virtual Summit offers a chance for professionals at higher education institutions who work with faculty to engage with the widely experienced Interfolio team, understand Interfolio’s ongoing and planned areas of innovation, and learn from our experience working with over 400 institutions and organizations worldwide.

The Interfolio Virtual Summit is free to attend.

What sessions are planned?

The full agenda will launch later this spring.

Who should attend?

  • Senior academic leadership invested in their faculty members’ capacity for impact—including provosts, faculty affairs heads, deans of colleges, and other executive roles intersecting with faculty—whether your institution already uses Interfolio or not
  • Current Interfolio institutional administrators who wish to find new ideas and solutions to the modern issues of faculty management (and administrative effectiveness) using Interfolio modules
  • Other higher education professionals focused on driving faculty impact and improving the faculty work experience—whether you are in HR, IT, research, libraries, or some other office

In Conversation: Adrianna Kezar + Andrew Rosen

Thursday, June 18, 2020 / Noon – 1 PM ET

Join Andrew Rosen and Adrianna Kezar for a discussion about the pressures on higher education and the future of faculty.

As colleges and universities prepare for uncertainty with respect to tuition and research revenue, state funding, and endowments, many institutions are also exploring the expansion of revenue opportunities.

While it is obvious that COVID-19 will have short and long term impacts on the business of higher education, what are the implications on tenure, non-tenure track, and contingent faculty? Are we witnessing the dawn of a new era in this existential crisis?

Watch Video Case Study: Faculty Data and Accreditation Reporting at Tulane University

Watch this conversation from the 2020 AIR Forum, the Association for Institutional Research’s annual conference, which is the world’s largest gathering of higher education professionals working in institutional research, assessment, planning, and data and analytics.

In a this on-demand session, Tulane discusses their implementation of Interfolio’s Faculty Information System (FIS) and how they both capture faculty data and make it actionable and reusable.

As no surprise to those in higher education, Tulane was hungry for data but encountered an administrative burden when asking for the same data repeatedly, which also distracted faculty from their institutional goals and purpose. By implementing the Interfolio FIS, Tulane has found ways to streamline faculty annual reporting. Additionally, this allows Tulane to compile and produce data that can be used for accreditation purposes, online faculty profiles, and other departmental data needs. They discovered that data reusability is key!
