Leading business school announces partnership with Interfolio

Coral Gables, FL  — March 4, 2021 — The University of Miami Patti and Allan Herbert Business School today announced the adoption of Interfolio, provider of the leading Faculty Information System, for faculty activity and advancement reporting. Using the Interfolio Review, Promotion & Tenure and Faculty Activity Reporting modules will create a consistent process and user-friendly platform for faculty to showcase their accomplishments and incorporate their vitae into academic reviews.

“We, like many institutions, are in the midst of a digital transformation. Supporting faculty work is a key reason for this evolution—we must shift our manual, paper-based processes for advancement and activity reporting to be digital and automated,” stated Zheng Fan, Executive Director of Information Technology at Miami Herbert Business School. “Interfolio offers a centralized system for faculty to collect and maintain their teaching, publications, grants, and service and make this data actionable for reviews and promotion.”

With this new technology, the School will overhaul its faculty reporting process, increasing efficiency for both administrators and faculty. Interfolio Faculty Activity Reporting will make possible data analytics and reporting on faculty research, service, and teaching. Additionally, integration with academic and bibliographic sources will eliminate manual data entry while increasing data accuracy. Lastly, the collaborative features will allow faculty to expand their networks and search for colleagues with shared research interests.

The adoption of Interfolio’s platform will streamline faculty advancement with a system designed for committees and shared governance. This software supports the faculty by saving administrative work and increasing transparency.

“We are pleased to enable the University of Miami Herbert Business School in their digital transformation, providing innovative technology to modernize their processes and deliver measurable impact to their organization,” stated Andrew Rosen, CEO of Interfolio.
