Private university in New England leverages Interfolio module for staff recruitment

West Haven, Connecticut — November 9, 2021 — The University of New Haven announced today that it has expanded its use of the Faculty Search module offered by Interfolio, creator of the Faculty Information System.

After using the Faculty Search module to improve its faculty hiring process, the university now will use the module for staff recruitment as well, thereby making that process easier and more effective.

The university previously had a manual process for staff recruitment. Now, relying on Faculty Search for staff hiring, the university gains several advantages:

  • Easy digital review of applications from anywhere;
  • Automated routing of confidential recommendation letters; and
  • Applicant pool management tools built for higher ed.

“We were looking for an improvement to our  digital process for staff hiring,” says Iris Calovine, the University’s Executive Director of Human Resources. “We are hopeful that the use of Interfolio will enable the university to easily and more efficiently carry out staff recruitment.”

The Faculty Search module also enables administrators to build demographic data questionnaires into applications to yield a 100% response rate.

“Faculty and staff diversity is a significant institutional advantage with multiple benefits, including improved classroom discussions and better preparation of students for our global society,” says Andrew Rosen, CEO of Interfolio. “That’s why it’s critical for institutions to collect sufficient demographic data to intentionally grow their faculty and staff diversity.”
