Jean Ku and Kate Slavit join leading EdTech company

Washington D.C. — September 29, 2021 —Interfolio announces today the addition of two leadership hires: Jean Ku as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Kate Slavit as Vice President, Head of People. Creator of the Faculty Information System, Interfolio provides software to universities and colleges to manage the full faculty lifecycle. Part of Insight Partner’s portfolio of companies, Interfolio is growing its team and expertise to meet market demands. 

Ms. Ku will lead the marketing strategy at Interfolio and expand awareness of faculty information systems in higher education. She will oversee product and content marketing, demand generation, as well as sales development and enablement. Prior to joining Interfolio, Ms. Ku led Naviance marketing at PowerSchool. With more than 20 years of B2B marketing experience, she has held marketing leadership positions at education technology companies including PowerSchool, Hobsons, Rosetta Stone, Intellify Learning, and Blackboard. Accomplishments include: driving Blackboard’s K-12 product strategy; repositioning and expanding Rosetta Stone’s education business; building and leading high performing teams; streamlining marketing operations and programs; and helping both education and corporate businesses connect meaningfully with their customers.    

Ms. Slavit will oversee talent acquisition, talent management, and internal communications to foster a meaningful, diverse, and inclusive company culture. Ms. Slavit joins Interfolio from The Knot Worldwide, formerly WeddingWire, with previous experience in publicity, promotions and special events for Columbia Pictures, Walt Disney Pictures, and more. Accomplishments include: leading the global internal communications and employee experience strategy of WeddingWire’s merge and integration with XO Group (The Knot); creating and producing a suite of branded, national events for wedding and events professionals including the user conference WeddingWire World; managing the national press junket for Columbia Pictures’ SALT and media relations for the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC.
